Top Up Fuels recommends to all its customers that whilst the sun is out and shining on your home, spend a little time to check over your oil tank. There are a couple of things that you initially need to be looking out for and that is any cracks or areas of concern with the pipe fittings that could lead to an Oil Spillage.
These things are a pain when they happen and can be very costly if you have a tank full of oil, it can sometimes happen if there is a crack low down and you have just had a delivery so be careful and remember to check when you are placing an order.
The governing bodies recommend that your oil tanks are kept on a hard standing, this can ensure that they are stable and the whole tank is secure.
So the best thing to do this summer when you are out pottering in your garden and pulling out those weeds it to spend 5 minutes just to have a quick look and hopefully that will save you a whole heap of time and money in case something disastrous happened this winter.
Should you have any questions feel free to give one of us a call at Top Up Fuels and we will be happy to help guide you through.
